What's the workshop like?

The Workshop Program with NYCA in partnership with The Rotary Foundation offers a unique opportunity for students aged 15-18 to further develop their choral skills and work with some of Australia’s best young singers, teachers, and conductors. Applications are encouraged from all musicians with a particular interest in choral singing.

The workshop will be held at St John’s Anglican Church Camberwell, Melbourne on Saturday 1st March, 9:30am - 4:30pm.

  • Free lunch!

  • Rekindle your love for singing and high level musicianship, especially those who missed out due to COVID

  • Learn under leading choral conductors on choral ensemble skills, Michael Fulcher and Liz Scott

  • Discuss with current members of the National Youth Choir of Australia (NYCA) about choral singing in their lives and the opportunities it has created for them

  • Presentations on simple techniques to improve your singing

  • The day will end with the opportunity to perform together with members of NYCA in front of a small audience of family and friends

  • Music will be provided

  • You will receive a complimentary ticket to the National Youth Choir of Australia's 2025 Season Finale concert, conducted by Carl Crossin at on Saturday 12th of July 2025 at 7:30pm
